Tumalog Falls Description

The Tumalog Falls in the municipality of Oslob is one of the unique falls in Cebu. Its water downpour is fine and scattered. With that, you will notice that the water seems falling in a slow-paced motion, no rush. It is a calm waterfalls, indeed.

The waterfall cascades over a broad cliff, forming a delicate curtain of water that creates a misty and refreshing atmosphere. Beneath the falls is a shallow natural pool where visitors can wade or enjoy the cool freshwater. The surrounding forest and lush vegetation enhance the tranquil setting, making the area an excellent destination for relaxation and nature appreciation. During the rainy season, the volume of water may increase, giving the waterfall a fuller and more dramatic appearance while still retaining its graceful flow. The unique rock formations beneath the waterfall add to its scenic beauty and provide interesting features for photography. Visitors are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear, as the rocks near the waterfall may become slippery due to constant moisture. Respecting the natural environment by keeping the area clean and following local guidelines helps preserve the beauty of Tumalog Falls for future generations.

Accessibility

The access road leading to the Tumalog falls area is steep with blind curves. Organized “habal-habal” motorcycles within the area are used as primary transport for tourists. However, you have the option to just walk going to the falls, but be cautious as there are motorcycles that might pop up along the way. There are also safety signages along the way.
