The Kandungaw Peak (Candongao Peak) in the municipality of Dalaguete, Cebu has an elevation of 958 meters above sea level and it is part of the Dalaguete mountain ranges that comprises some of the famous peaks in the area, namely: Osmeña Peak, Casino Peak (Lugsangan Peak) and Tabon Peak.

At the summit, it has a 90-degree angle cliff, so be careful when climbing at the tip as there is no side railing, only flag pole which you can hold on to.

The word “Kandungaw” is derived from Cebuano word “dungaw”, which means “to look down” or “to look below”.

The Kandungaw Peak is the only peak in Dalaguete that have multiple concrete stairways and it is a good exercise for your legs while enjoying the scenic view along the way.

Sunset Peak and Lover’s Peak

Nearby peaks in Kandungaw Peak are Sunset Peak and Lover’s Peak. These peaks are just across at each other with around 5-10 minutes of walk.

Kandungaw Cave

Below the Kandungaw Peak, there is also a Kandungaw Cave, which believed to be the hiding spot for locals during World War II. It is slightly challenging going there, but it is worth it.

Camping

Campsite ground is also available in the area if you wish to go camping.
