







The Sinulog Festival is the grandest festival of the Philippines and the grand parade is held every third Sunday of January in Cebu City. However, other events and religious activities are held in a month-long of January.
Santo Niño (Child Jesus)
This is a vibrant festival celebration dedicated to and honoring the Santo Niño (Child Jesus).
Crowd
Most hotels in the city are already expected to be fully booked during Sinulog Festival because tourists coming from other part of the Philippines (local) and from abroad (international) wanted to witness this annual festival. Some portions of the road in the downtown are closed and a huge number of spectators are gathering in the road.
Grand Parade
The Grand Parade is the highlight of the entire Sinulog Festival. It showcase colorful floats, elaborate costumes and props, band competition, street dancing and ritual showdown. Street dancers perform the traditional Sinulog dance along with vibrant and energetic Sinulog rhythm while moving through the streets.
During the parade, a Sinulog festival queens carries the Holy Santo Niño.
