The Lizzie’s Cavern in the municipality of San Francisco, Cebu, is one of the top 9 caves to visit in the entire Camotes Island.
Cave Description
The Lizzie’s Cavern is a beautiful wide-range cave. Tour guide is required when you enter the cave. Don’t worry because they have an in-house tour guides that will assist you. The tour guide fee is a tip-based fee only.
Some of the access paths are a bit narrower, and some of the rock formation are sharp or pointed. So, helmets are necessary inside. They will provide you helmet before entering the cave.
In the entrance, you will descend in a concrete stairways. Some stalactites and stalagmites are white crystals that will produce glitter reflection when hit by flashlight. Touching these crystalized formation is not allowed as it will contaminate by the substance from your hands which can affect the crystal formation process.
You will also see some fossilized sea creatures in the rocks. The water level is around 3 to 4 feet only.
Deep inside the cave, you will notice that the air will become thinner and more humid. So, you will become sweaty along with deep breathing experiences.
The swimming area is located near the cave entrance.

firstly thank you for visiting what looks like Poro and Pacijan – but when you say Camotes Island it’s a huge injustice the business that are part of the Camotes islands. We are grateful for the Ponson island shoutout – but the information and pricing is incorrect – you made it sound d like Jomalia take you to Ponson for the prices you listed which are in fact incorrect and you didn’t mention Camotes Ferry services from Danao to Cawit via Sunog – these things are import at bc we have oeio read you blog then book to stay at our resort and the. struggle to get here. Could we ask you to kindly amend the blog ? if sounds like you haven’t been to Ponson before so should you like to visit let us know and we can comp you one free night stay

No problem. Good catch there. I will amend the details of my post in FB that is related to Ponson Island. Yeah, that would be great. I would definitely be back in Ponson Island. By the way, the route directions or pricing, and others that were mentioned in my post were based on my personal experiences only, so I may not be able to include other details that I haven’t encountered or experienced yet along with my journey.
